Awesome location right in the heart of Groningen. I loved the character of the historic building. Each room has its own unique decor. Breakfast had a great selection, especially the fresh bread. The cozy garden area was perfect for unwinding after a busy day. I faced some issues with noise disturbances from the street. It was tough to get a good night's sleep because of the late-night revelers and early morning deliveries. Also noticed some outdated facilities and needed maintenance in the room. For the price paid, I expected more updates and a quieter atmosphere.

Totally charming! Beautiful rooms with a natural sovereignty and elegance. Staff friendly and discreet, great breakfast.
The room upstairs was a little cold, but very quiet.

A charming stay with a unique character
The spacious bathroom had a nice jacuzzi tub. I did notice that my room could use a bit of cosmetic maintenance, particularly in the bathroom with a small leak.

Truly enjoyed our good sized and well-organised rooms.
Had really lovely stay in this unique hotel, the staff were accommodating, location was magnificent in the restaurant ready for the wedding buffet. Location: the property was very close to the Grote Markt shopping area, and cafe and restaurants. Spent our evenings in nearby Keldercafe Merlot, especially when it was hot outside.

Great location, nostalgic interior, friendly staff.
The breakfast buffet was very small.

Charming atmosphere with a beautiful garden to relax.
I found the room quite cramped, especially the Economy Single Room where the bed was tucked under the desk. The noise from both the street and the kitchen was disruptive, and I struggled with the shower delivering inconsistent water temperatures. On top of that, the upkeep of the building was lacking, with broken tiles and dated furniture being notable flaws.

I had chosen the hotel based on its location. It fulfilled my wishes. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is delicious. However, the coffee machine took a very long time and there was often a "traffic jam". Perhaps a newer or second device would be desirable.

Original layout of the hotel, there is a lot to discover at the back yard
The hotel should be absolutely renovated. Everything is old and screams for a refreshing touch: carpets, painting, bathroom accessories, wood frames, towels were torn of being used for years.

We had a very pleasand stay at this comfortable hotel in its admirable city centre locatin. It was great value for a weekend break, though for some older people the stairs would be rather steep and the noise from the revellers outside a little intrusive. . Overall the hotel had a woderful ambience, the breakfast was first class and the staff were excellent. I would strongly recommend this in contrast to more modern hotels.
The room lacked coffee/tea making facilities, which was a great pity. The courtyard steps and surrounds urgently need redecoration.

Perfect location, high level staff professionalism, kindness, excellent food, spacious room and facility, elegant but warm environment.Stylish furnishings and decor throughout the Hotel.
Absolutely the only single detail I could think to improve, would be to provide 1 big bath towel, alongside the other beautiful clean comfortable smaller towels.
